В 1974 году, на территории Рамат Гана, открылся Африканский парк по типу сафари . А в 1981г в центре парка был построен современный зоопарк. Это самая большая коллекция животных на ближнем востоке. Причём парк спланирован так, что многие виды просто пасутся под открытым небом, что более чем удивительно учитывая цену на землю прямо в самом центре страны. Это отдалённо напоминает Нью Йоркский центральный парк, так же окружённый высотками и жилыми домами.... Только вход платный - зоопарк всё же.
